“On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income.” (1 Corinthians 16:2) “Give, and it will be given to you… For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38)
It is our opportunity to faithfully return to God a portion of the many blessings He has entrusted to us. The Prophet Malachi reminds us: “Will a man rob God? … In tithes and offerings… Bring all the tithes into the storehouse… and I will pour out for you such blessing.” (Malachi 3:8–10)
As St. Paul teaches: “He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully… God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:6–7)
May He accept every offering, bless every family, and grant us hearts that delight in giving back to Him.
